FAQS ABOUT IV THERAPY TREATMENTS

  • IV or intravenous therapy delivers fluid into veins in your body. This infusion is often referred to as a drip. IV therapy is a more efficient way to deliver therapeutic treatments by giving medications, nutrients, fluids, and blood products directly into the bloodstream. Some medications, vitamins, and supplements can only be delivered via injection intramuscularly (IM), so this is sometimes accomplished without the help of an IV. All these treatments aim to help with various health conditions like vitamin or nutrient deficiencies, dehydration, oxidative stress, and more.

  • Delivering nutrients directly to the bloodstream intravenously (IV) is one of the most effective ways of correcting the essential vitamin and mineral intracellular deficits, as it bypasses any obstacles in our digestive system that would block direct absorption.

  • Other than feeling pretty great afterwards, IV Therapy side effects are usually minor and temporary:

-Possible bruising and soreness at the IV site, burning of the vein, redness or irritation

    Uncommon side effects include:

-Muscle pain or localized injury at the site

    -Clot in the vein

    -Infection of site or vein

-Allergic reaction: rash, confusion, difficulty breathing, or anaphylaxis

    -Feeling flushed, lightheaded, or fainting

    -Metabolic disturbances

    -Headache, nausea, or vomiting

    -Diarrhea or constipation

Our medical professionals are well-versed in identifying and managing side effects in the rare case that anything should happen. We have established protocols for attending to reactions and we carry emergency injectable and oral medications to treat reactions immediately, when necessary.

  • One of our experienced and accredited registered nurses will administer your IV or injection, so not only will you be in the best care, but you will be able to relax, scroll your phone, listen to an audio book, work, or socialize, from the comfort of a lounge chair.

  • Each person has unique needs. Some treatments only require a single session, but some people may need or prefer multiple treatments over the course of several weeks or once a month. Because compounded medications are usually ordered from the pharmacy specifically for you, and many need to be used within 30 days, we do tailor our recommendations to match the timing and affordability that makes sense for your treatment needs. We discuss your options with you before ordering and scheduling.

    Factors that determine Therapy frequency:

    -Condition being treated

    -Severity of deficiency

-Indications for waiting intervals between treatments that is specific to that ingredient or protocol.

    -Shelf life of the medication

-Ability to return for treatments. Or Ability of individuals to be taught self-injection (monthly B12 injections at home for example)

-Health, nutrition, and general physical activity of the patient. For example, most patients will be able to transition to oral replacement or dietary sources, which is the goal. Others may have absorption or genetically-derived conversion issues that significantly impair their ability to do that.

-Medical history and age of the patient

  • Our services are typically far less expensive than the copays associated with billing insurance. Because of this, we do not accept private health insurance, Medicare or Medicaid. We do, however, accept FSA and HSA accounts.

  • Booking your first IV therapy appointment registers you within our system for convenient on-going treatments after a physician consultation. Registration is $100 and a one-time fee*, returned back to you as a rebate toward your first IV treatment cost.
